Kathryn is an honorary consultant psychiatrist in resistant schizophrenia and family therapy. She has over 200 publications and has edited several books on women and mental health and holds a prestigious European Research Council Science Fellowship, is a National Institutes of Health Research Senior Investigator and the National Lead for Mental Health for the Clinical Research Network.

Her background is in gender-based violence prevention and response in development and humanitarian contexts. She brings over 20 years’ experience in countries such as Afghanistan, Haiti, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nepal, and others.

Sevda Alkan is a project manager since 2013 at Sabanci University Corporate Governance Forum where she is responsible for Independent Women Directors Project and Business Against Domestic Violence Project. Sevda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management at Dokuz Eylul University. She worked in various projects for TOG (Community Volunteers Foundation) as a volunteer and for Turkish Airlines as a part time employee during her studies. Upon graduation she continued to work for Turkish Airlines for a year before moving to UK. She completed her master’s degree in Corporate Environmental Management at the University of Surrey in 2013 where she was mainly focused on the issues of sustainability, corporate social responsibility and energy efficiency issues surrounding the climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Before her current assignment, she was Director of UNFPA’s Geneva office for seven years.

Dr.Aditya Bharadwaj current research focuses on assisted reproductive technologies and infertility in poor resource settings. Through this work he is examining the brutalising social stigma and ostracism associated with medical conditions like infertility. Dr. Bharadwaj's research aims to support the introduction of low cost In-Vitro-Fertilization (IVF) and related assisted reproductive technologies in poor resource settings. He has authored several books and articles. His most recent books are: Conceptions: Infertility and Procreative Technologies in India (Berghahn 2016) and Global Perspectives on Stem Cell Technologies (Palgrave Macmillan 2017).

Ozlem is a highly acclaimed sportswoman of prestigious stature, having announced herself to the world as the first Turkish woman to participate in the Sailing World Championships - aged just 16. Married to a Dutch national, Ozlem had her first daughter at the age of 24, however it was the medical complications adjoined to her second pregnancy which saw Ozlem’s son born with a rare condition, leading to him being permanently disabled. Her personal experience and compassion has led to Ozlem being recognised as an advocate for the inclusion and acceptance of disability within the sports industry. She specifically focused her work on seasonal agricultural workers who were not receiving any other attention. Prof. Dr. Şimşek has been working to empower those women for 15 years. Currently, she is at Bilgi University, UNFPA Turkey’s partner, and working on refugee women. Prof. Dr. Şimşek is instrumental in developing “health mediator” model which is essential part of UNFPA’s Women and Girls Safe Spaces humanitarian aid program in Turkey.
